630 - The port was disconnected due to hardware failure

A communication port hardware error has occurred.

Try the following:

Reboot your computer - turn it off, wait for 30 seconds, then turn it back on. Now re-try the connection.

If you feel confident enough, check the init strings in your modem and remove any init strings. Make note of the init strings you remove so you can re-install them if this is not the problem. Now try to re-connect.

If two modems are installed, create a new connection using the second modem and try again.

If the problem persists, contact a qualified technician.
