A communication port hardware error has occurred.
Try the following:

Reboot your computer - turn it off, wait for 30 seconds, then turn it back on. Now re-try the connection. |

If you feel confident enough, check the init strings in your modem and remove any init strings. Make note of the init strings you remove so you can re-install them if this is not the problem. Now try to re-connect. |

If two modems are installed, create a new connection using the second modem and try again. |

If the problem persists, contact a qualified technician. |
